1. One entry per e-mail address. Each e-mail address must use a unique username.

  2. Contest begins July 15, 2010. (You may begin playing the contest at any time during the remainder of the 2010 season.)

  3. GAME PLAY

The goal of HR Challenge is to earn as many points as possible by choosing one Cardinal player each day that you think will hit a home run.

Players may be chosen approximately 1-2 weeks in advance and may be changed up until the scheduled start time of the game. A 3 week schedule will be shown displaying recent results as well as upcoming games in which you may select a player.

When you sign up you may choose to have a reminder e-mailed to you on days that you have not selected a player. You may turn off reminders anytime by logging into your game.

  4. SCORING

The point value awarded for each home run is based on two criteria:

    1. The probability that they will hit a home run. The point value for each player is determined by taking the total number of at bats divided by number of home runs hit during the first half of the season (Point Value = AB/HR). See the chart below for point values.

    2. The number of RBIs earned for the home run. The point value for each player is multiplied by the number of RBIs earned for the home run hit. For example if a player has a point value of 100 points and they hit a grand slam, you would earn 400 points towards your total score (100pts x 4 RBIs = 400).

The maximum point value for a player is 100 therefore players who have not hit a home run this season are worth 100 points.

Players recalled after the all-star break are calculated using their combined minor league home runs and at bats.

If a player hits multiple home runs in a game or double header you will receive points for each home run hit that day.

    *  Only Players that are on the active roster are available. Once a player is activated they will be available as a choice for that game.
